The only way to update/correct an I9 is by uploading a new form.
Employees can upload a new a I9 form by following these steps:
- From the Rippling dashboard, select My Profile
- Navigate to the Documents section
- Scroll down and click UPDATE I9
Once the employee uploads the I9 supporting documents, a task for I9 verification will be generated on the company admin’s dashboard. After the company admin verifies the submission, a new I9 form will be uploaded to the employee’s profile. The updated I9 can be found in the Documents section of the Employee Profile.
Please note: Admins cannot update employee I9s. They can only verify.
