Setting up Employee Home

Employee Home acts as an internal bulletin board (without the Post-Its). It makes it incredibly easy for your team to communicate, view important company resources, and stay up to date with employee whereabouts.

Employee Home is a Google Chrome plugin that surfaces when you open a new browser tab. Accessible in one click, every employee can instantly see the following:

Quick Sign-in – Each employees’ quick sign-in bar from their dashboard is surfaced at the top of the Employee Home, to provide one click authentication into most used apps
Employees’ Out-of-office – Immediately view your team’s PTO, whether you are at the office or working remotely.
Company Resources – Rippling admins can host key resources, guest wifi password, employee handbook, or sales collateral, so everyone can access it in one click.
Recent Hires – When a new employee starts, make sure everyone knows who they are no matter where or with whom they work.
Company announcements – Share important announcements or updates. Rippling admin’s can customize which department or location sees them, or even who gets to post.
Birthdays & Work Anniversaries – You have the option to share employee birthdays to make sure everyone feels special on their day.

You can also easily look up a coworker, from the Employee Home search bar, or navigate directly to Rippling’s native app to check paystubs or request time off.

SETTING UP EMPLOYEE HOME FOR THE FIRST TIME

Install the Employee Home App
- You can search for “employee home” in Rippling’s App Directory, or click here to go directly to the installation flow: https://app.rippling.com/employee-home/setup
- You can invite your employees to Employee Home as part of the install process, but we suggest you wait to send the invitations in the ‘Send Invitation’ step until you’ve had the chance to try it out.
Configure Employee Home
- Once you have installed the Employee Home Chrome extension in your browser, you can access the Employee Home page by opening a new tab. As an Admin, you can click on the gear icon of the logo in Employee Home and upload your own company logo, and customize the color scheme. You can also add links and documents to the Resources section on the right-hand side. Once you’re happy with the setup, you can proceed to invite employees to install the extension.
Invite Employees to Install the Chrome Extension
- Employees can be invited via the Employee Home App, or from the link below. Once invites are sent, employee’s will be prompted to download the Employee Home Chrome Extension, and from then on will be able to bring up Employee Home by clicking into a new tab. https://app.rippling.com/employee-home/invite-employees
